Halloween is here! And it is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate. When my son was little, the whole house would be decked out for the entire month of October. Now that he is in high school, he still enjoys the fun of Halloween but I like to focus on our entryway for the spooky effect.
One of my favorite things on Halloween night is to sit outside and watch all the trick or treaters come by. It is so fun to see all our sweet neighbors out and about with their kids all dressed up for the evening. So I love to have a little treat for the grownups as they go from house to house!
These candy dishes are great for the grownups to have a treat and keep them out of their kid’s candy bag! How fun are these candies to represent the “One eyed, one horned, flying purple people eater”? And a comfy place to sit makes for a pleasant evening under the stars. We live in the south so a light throw blanket is perfect for that chill in the air on a late October night.
Setting up a mini bar is easy! I used my gold folding tray table and draped it with black creepy cloth. I filled a glass drink dispenser with a mix of Blue Hawaiian punch, pineapple juice, and club soda. (You can add a little vodka or light rum if you want a spiked treat for the grownups only.) I filled the top of the dispenser with plastic eyeballs for a spooky feel. I put out some Halloween glasses and candy dishes for a little sweet bite and now I am all set!
Once the sun starts to set, my entryway really comes to life. I love the glow of Halloween lights and all the frights! Happy Haunting friends!
