Happy Fourth of July! I love everything about this holiday, especially gathering with friends and family to enjoy dinner until dusk. Then watching the big fireworks show to top off the night is one of my most favorite traditions.
This year, I decided to create a red, white and blue tablescape with a nod to the stars and stripes using my blue and white china and red goblets. Adding touches of stars and stripes make for a festive Fourth of July tablescape.
For my dinner party, I wanted an arrangement of red and white flowers to compliment my blue and white table settings. I like using a long linear container for a centerpiece. It lets me fill the table with flowers using one arrangement.
I love having a little favor for my guests to take home. I found some small red and white striped gift bags that I used for my favors as well as for a place cards. I created a printable place card that you can edit and type in your guests’ names and tape a small sparkler to enjoy after the sun sets. You can get the free printable by clicking on the link that follows.
Now that the table is all set, let’s talk food! One of my favorite things to serve is a cheese board. And when I saw this one, I knew it was a perfect fit for my dinner party! I love the colors, the strawberry bruschetta (you can get the recipe on the link above!) and it was definitely a hit!
I really do love to create a beautiful setting for my friends and family to enjoy a meal. At the end of the day, the most important thing is time spent with people we love. I hope you have a fun Fourth of July surrounded by the people you love, plenty of food watching sparks fly! What are your favorite ways to celebrate the Fourth? Leave me a comment below.
