Fall is almost here and one of our most treasured traditions is our pumpkin carve and outdoor movie night! This year we will celebrate and watch the movie outdoors. And I am making individual personalized snack trays as a fun way to serve all of our movie snacks to guests.
It’s always fun to set the scene and this year, I added a graveyard to our movie screen area. At night, there is a purple and orange glow around the movie screen for an extra eerie effect.
This summer I added a large patio space to expand our outdoor entertaining area. This gives us plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the outdoors together. I used our movie seat backs on the ground with fun pillows to lean against for a few seats. My woven poufs gave a few more spots to sit. I wrapped a spooky lighted garland around my bench for a few more seats. Each spot has a personalized snack tray and the names on the cups make it easy to keep up with your own goodies.
Instead of a large table full of food inside the house, this year I am making the Halloween themed snacks, movie popcorn and candy and serving them up on individual snack trays. Be sure to scroll down and see the tutorial on how easy it is to personalize these trays.
Y’all have to see the new Halloween themed candy from HERSHEY® that I stocked up on at Walmart this year. I picked up New KIT KAT® Witch’s Brew Bars (they are green!), New REESE’s Peanut Butter Cup Franken-cup (these are chocolate and green covered peanut butter cups), and New Hershey’s Vampire Kiss Hershey Kisses (filled with strawberry creme…yummy!). Part of the planning is also the fun of getting to enjoy all of these treats. I keep our candy dishes filled with HERSHEY® products all season long. It’s the perfect way to get into the spirit.
Adding a little dry ice to your Halloween punch keeps your drinks cold and adds a bit of spooky fun! This is always a big hit every year. (Be sure not to ingest the ice and let it dissipate before enjoying the drink.)
Movie time! An outdoor projector and movie screen fabric wrapped around the columns create a great area for watching movies outdoors. I have used sheets before and they work too! But the picture quality is significantly better on the movie screen fabric. It doesn’t let the light bleed through so you get good color quality and the darker the environment around the screen the better the picture too!
I just love the glow of Halloween lights! And as my son and his friends get older, they still appreciate celebrating Halloween together. So pulling out the decorations and filling the bowls with Halloween candy will always be a fun way to celebrate the holiday.
All right, let me show you how easy it is to make personalized movie snack trays. Be sure to watch the video below to see step by step details. These will allow everyone to enjoy treats for the movie safely while knowing which tray belongs to who. They also double as a fun party gift.
Be sure to see all of these Halloween goodies and stock up at Walmart. Happy Haunting friends!
