1. Plan your menu.
Let everyone participate by bringing something to share. My new favorite game day appetizer is Totchos! Have you heard of these yet? So simple. Bake tater tots according to package then top with your favorite nacho toppings. I use cooked taco meat, cheese, shredded lettuce, sour cream and jalapenos. Delicious!
Have plenty of Glad® Food Storage Bags on hand to send guests home with leftovers!
2. Create a signature drink.
My new favorite drink is a peach moscow mule. Take advantage of the last of the summer harvest from your local farmers market and use fresh peaches and mint. Below is my recipe, but you can use one that you prefer.
Peach Moscow Mules:
2 oz Peach Vodka
Sugar Free Peach Syrup
Ginger Beer
Lime Juice
Fresh Peach Slices
Mint Sprigs
Soft Ice
Fill half of copper mug with ice. Add 2 oz of peach vodka, 2 pumps of sugar free peach syrup and top with ginger beer. Add splash of lime juice and garnish with fresh peach slices and mint sprigs. Give your mint a twist to release the flavor before adding to your drink. (These are also delicious as a non-alcoholic drink. Just leave the vodka out and enjoy!)
For a fun twist on a skewer, add football brads to the tops of your wooden skewers and use to serve your sliced peaches. So easy and cute!

3. Honor your traditions.
One of our favorite traditions is that after every winning game, all of the fans head to the corner of campus which is in the center of our downtown village and we roll the trees with toilet paper. This is a long standing tradition that started in 1972. It was a tradition I enjoyed as a student back in the early 90’s and it is something my son looks forward to continuing in when he becomes a student too!
One of our favorite things to do is wrap rolls of toilet paper with ribbon and give to our tailgating guests. When we win a game, we head downtown and roll the corner together. (What if your team doesn’t win? No worries! You will have plenty of toilet paper on hand to use at home as you commiserate together.)
Take Angel Soft® 12 Family Rolls and wrap with ribbon and display on a football shaped tray to honor your traditions!
