Summer is here! We love the relaxed bed times, slow mornings and impromptu family time. And nothing is more fun than game night! I am sharing three easy steps to hosting a game night in your home this summer and I even have a free printable BINGO game for you to print and play.
1. GATHER THE GAMES.
Who doesn’t have a collection of board games and card games? When I went to pull out ours, I was surprised by how many we have. Pull out all of your games so there are plenty to choose from. You don’t have to play them all. But it is fun to see who gathers around which game to play. Let your friends and family split off into smaller groups and have several games going at once. It is fun to hear the excitement at each game.
To add to your collection, I made a printable BINGO game with summer themed icons. Grab two dice and use the provided legend to play. Roll the dice and locate the letter and icon to mark off. If you want to reuse your game cards, use an object to mark the spaces. I raided my son’s LEGO stash and had small bowls of the smaller LEGO’s to mark the spaces. Just look around your kids’ rooms to find something you can use. No need to buy anything! The links to download BINGO are at the end of the post.
2. GRAB THE SNACKS.
Y’all, life wouldn’t be as “Wonderfilled” without OREO! This month you can get OREO Wonder Vault varieties of limited edition OREO sandwich cookies including Red Velvet, Birthday Cake, Cinnamon Bun & Salted Caramel. I found mine at my local Kroger. You can check here to find your local Kroger/Kroger Family of Stores to get your OREO sandwich cookies.
A fun party tip for your game night is to wash and use large game pieces to serve your snacks. I used large checkers from our floor game of checkers. They were the perfect size for our snacks. And you have to drink milk with your OREO! I used small tasting glasses with melted candy to create a sprinkled rim. So fun!
Guess what? OREO has a special offer in store as well as in store demos this June. BOGO Offer Details: Buy one Wonder Vault flavor OREO and get a free MILKA OREO Chocolate Candy Bar with crunchy bits of OREO + Crème Filling + Rich MILKA Chocolate Candy at Kroger grocers; offer valid 6/14 – 6/20. MILKA is one of Europe’s leading chocolate brands, made with milk from the European Alps and the finest cocoa bans.
In Store Demos: There’s nobody who’s more in the know than a Kroger mom (that’s you friend!), and in 2017 you are getting inside access to the Kroger OREO Wonder Vault to discover everything OREO. You’ll find the info you love to share when you Explore the OREO Wonder Vault. In-store Kroger demos are happening 6/15-6/18. Demos will present Kroger-exclusive recipes, information on the newest OREO flavors, Limited Edition varieties, the new MILKA OREO Chocolate Candy Bar, fun facts about the history of OREO and Kroger, and much, much more. So keep an eye out for the OREO Wonder Vault and MILKA OREO Chocolate Candy Bar store demonstration live at participating Kroger grocers 6/15-6/18.
3. GRAB YOUR FRIENDS & FAMILY AND HAVE FUN!
Enjoy these lazy days and long summer evenings. Finding ways to come together, laugh and have fun makes for a summer filled with memories to last a lifetime. What are your favorite games and snacks for game night in your house? I’m always looking for new ideas so share yours with me in the comments below.
Here’s a quick snapshot of what to look for in your local Kroger to find the OREO flavors you want to try this summer. Head to the cookie aisle and look throughout the entire OREO section. My store had two of the flavors together and another one on a different shelf. The MILKA OREO Chocolate Candy Bar was on the same aisle but down in the candy section. Don’t miss out on the BOGO offer! To see more fun from OREO, check out their Facebook page and Instagram.
