It’s game day! Want to surprise your guests with the ultimate snack stadium for the Big Game? I’ve got an easy tutorial for you to make your own snack stadium that is sure to wow your guests! Be sure to scroll down after the photos to see our step by step directions to make your own stadium.
1. Gather Your Supplies. You will need the following to create your own snack stadium:
-
- Three sheets of 20″ x 30″ Foam Core Board (I found mine at my local craft store for $2.49/each.)
-
- Football Field Table Runner (You can get one here or if you prefer, you could use a piece of artificial turf that you can buy at your local building supply store.)
-
- Ruler (I prefer a metal ruler with cork back to use as guide for cutting.)
-
- Cutting Blade and Mat
- Spray Glue
-
- Tape
2. Cut Your Foam Core Board. Keep one board uncut. This will serve as your base of your snack stadium. Use the guide above to measure and cut the other two boards. The 6″ cuts will serve as the perimeter of your stadium and the 4″ cuts will create the interior sections. Just tape the pieces together to create the layouts shown in the photos below.
3. Attach your field. The table runner is a bit wider than we need so to be sure that all of the yardage numbers show, I just folded the runner to make it more narrow and then I used the spray glue to attach it to the base. This helps keep it in place when you are assembling the stadium. If you are using artificial turf, this is when you will attach the turf to the foam core base.
3. Add Interior Borders and Sections. Now it’s time to add the interior borders and sections. A tip: Set all of the pieces inside the stadium and adjust spacing if needed before you tape anything down. Once you have them aligned, then you can tape them into place. Reinforce interior sections with tape. When I first made my stadium, the section of candy created more pressure than my initial tape could hold so I reinforced it with more tape and it held beautifully!
4. Fill Your Stadium with Snacks and Added Decor! Now it’s time for the fun part! Fill that stadium up with all of your favorite game day snacks! Some of our favorites always include SNICKERS® FUN SIZE®, Skittles®, Diet Pepsi™ and don’t forget the TOSTITOS® Scoops and TOSTITOS® Chunky Salsa! Another tip: I lined any sections for unpackaged food with parchment paper before adding the food just to be safe.
I stopped into my local Walmart where they had these game day palates set up with our favorite snacks! Be sure to look for them. It makes it so quick and easy to grab what you need to feed your guests. And the chip aisle had all the dips and chips together, so that was great too.
Now that your food is taken care of, add decor to your stadium with our FREE PRINTABLE game day grub stadium wrap, flags and food labels, and sandwich wraps. You can download them below by clicking on each name below. Please only use these for personal use and if you want to share them, please be sure to link to this original post only (no direct links to the pdf files please.) FREE PRINTABLES:

Nice party idea. Yum food
Anne says
I love the idea of having the dipping sauces represent the football players, but I have a feeling team cheese would run out of players long before team salsa did. Should probably give team salsa some guacamole linemen so it’s a bit more fair I’d say 😉
Amy says
Love it! I’m not sure guacamole would last long in our house either 🙂
Linda says
What a fun idea and everything looks yummy.
Amy says
Thank you!
Renee says
I LOVE your snack stadium! Thank u so much for sharing!! Would U be willing to send the “touchdown” printable? Also, is there a way to edit the food flag so I can include and print a few different food items? Thanks again! You have made my son SUPER excited for his football birthday party! 🙂
Amy says
Hi Renee! Thank you for your sweet words! The Touchdown is actually not a printable, but it is part of the table runner that I used as the football field…i just cut the touchdown portion off the table runner and mounted it to use at the ends of the stadium. AS for custom food labels, I could set up a listing for you if you like. Just let me know! Thanks again!
Tammy Webb says
Where do I get a copy of the football field table runner? Also, how can I get flags for different foods I want to carry?
ivy says
Thank you for this great idea and diy! Hope I can do this for my sons 1st bday. Is it possible to rename some food tags? Thank you
Amy says
I’d be happy to create some custom labels for you! Can you reach out through my etsy shop? http://www.etsy.com/shop/LuluCole it will be easiest to setup a listing for you there. Thanks for asking!
D says
Hi-
Where did you find the Football Field Table Runner?
Tammy says
Where do I find the football field table runner?
Amy says
Hi Tammy! The table runner can be found at Swoozies or if it’s too late to order one, you can get artificial turf from your local hardware store and use white electrical tape to create the yard lines if you want….the turf alone would be really cute! And for custom food flags, my office is open weekdays during business hours and I am happy to create some for you then. Just let me know and I can set up a custom listing for you to order.
If you need them in time for tonight’s game, I would suggest printing out the free ones and then you could print out your custom food names on white cardstock and cut them to fit inside the white line on the free labels. Just glue or tape them over the existing label names for custom ones to match your menu. Hope that helps!
Tracie Scott says
This is amazing!! Are the TOUCHDOWN banners somewhere to print? I was unable to find them.
Amy says
Hi Tracie! Thank you for your sweet words! This looks great! Have any printables for Volleyball?
Wendy says
My son and I had fun making this. I could not get the printables to work so we just improvised. Still love the way it came out.
Amy says
That’s great! I am sorry you couldn’t get the printables. When you unlock them by subscribing, you just click on the text links. On my computer, it automatically downloads so you will need to locate the location your device is saving the download files to access them. But I am so glad you had fun making it!
Felesha says
Hi Amy! Where did you get the player number stickers for the shot glasses?
Amy says
Hi Felesha! I cut them out with my silhouette machine but most craft stores have number stickers in lots of different colors and sizes. I would definitely look there!
Ana says
Hi
the project looks amazing.
One question: The printables have a complete different colour (neon green) except the sandwich labels. Why?
Amy says
Hi Ana!
I apologize for not responding when you posted your comment! Typically when there is a color difference, it tends to be the program you are printing from. If you use Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader you will get the correct color to print. Some Mac programs that read PDF files change the color profiles and anytime anyone has had issues with color during the print process, this is 99% of the time the case. I hope that helps even though you are long overdue for the help.
