Halloween is almost upon us once again! I just love this time of year and I love to make Halloween dinner a little more fun with easy treats to start the night off right. We serve white chicken chili for dinner, along with a few fun foods, to keep little hands from being in their trick-or-treat bags all night.
I’ve got an easy set up for you this year just to remind us “We’re All A Bit Batty!” To create a quick party for your family and friends, take a look around your stash of Halloween decorations and grab what you can. And for anything you don’t have, head over to Walmart for all your party needs!
You don’t need much to make a spooky table for your goblins. And since they are bound to bring home loads of candy, it’s best to keep the treats as wholesome as you can. Which is why Snack Pack pudding cups are a great idea! And you can make them even more fun by turning them into bats in the graveyard. Be sure to scroll down to get my full tutorial on these easy mix-in treats for your Snack Pack pudding cups.
A few custom sugar cookies and candy haystacks made with LaChoy Chinese Noodles & Peter Pan Peanut Butter are a great addition for a sweet ending to dinner.
And some healthy snacks added to the table, are also a great way to round out your meal. Adding candy fangs to apples and a fun tree to whole apples really sets the tone.
So here is the tutorial to make your Halloween party fun!
These bats in the graveyard desserts are so easy to make! I even have a free printable for you to use for the gravestones.

Head to Walmart and grab your supplies! Grab the Super Snack Pack pudding size…they are a bit larger and make for a great gravestone backdrop.
Gather your supplies:
- OREOS: Be sure to get original OREOS (crumbled up for dirt) as well as Mint OREO Fudge Cremes (bat body)
- Super Snack Pack Pudding: While you are shopping at Walmart, don’t forget to look for the special coupon tear pad featuring an “Buy 14.3oz OREOs get $1 off Super Snack Pack Pudding” coupon. A great deal for this fun dessert!
- Large Eyeball Candy
- Black Candy Melts
- Lollipop Sticks
- Black Glitter Cardstock
- Bat Punch
- FREE PRINTABLE gravestones: you can get those here.
STEP 1: Punch bats out of black glitter paper.
STEP 2: Cut out the leftover black glitter paper above the bats ears. When you turn this part upside down, it becomes the bat ears for your bats.
STEP 3: Cut the bats in half to create two wings.
STEP 4: You will need one Mint OREO Fudge Cream, one large eyeball candy, one pair of bat wings, one set of bat ears and one lollipop stick.
STEP 5: Use melted candy melts to attach bat wings, ears, eyeballs and lollipop stick to cookie body.
STEP 6 & 7: Arrange your bats on a wire rack and freeze for ten minutes to harden the melted candy “glue”. (PRO TIP: You can actually wait to attach the eyeball until after they come out of the freezer…this will help them lay flat. Just squeeze a little melted candy on the back of the eyeball candy and then press to the cold cookie. The coldness will harden the candy immediately.
STEP 8: Stick the bats you have created into the pudding and sprinkle the top of pudding with crumbled OREO cookies. (I scraped the icing out of the cookie and only crumbled the cookie part). Top with candy bones if you want an added effect. Print the printable gravestones onto full sheet label paper. Cut, peel and stick to the outside of your pudding cup. You are done!
I hope you and all your goblins have a wonderful Halloween this year! What is your favorite treat to serve on Halloween? If you need more inspiration, be sure to check out more fun mix-in ideas!
