Happy! Simple, but the perfect sentiment for so many occasions. I recently picked up this Happy platter from Swoozie’s and thought Id show you how it can take you throughout your celebrations.
1. Easter Dinner. The size of this platter is perfect for serving your meal. I love combining dishes on one platter for a real family style gathering. You can see more from our Easter family dinner here.
2. Afternoon at the Lake Appetizers. Greet your guests with some hummus & crackers and good old fashioned bottled root beer. Use these little appetizer plates and have a fish bottle opener on hand to open those drinks. A fun styling tip is to hang burlap knot napkin rings on your bottles. Keep your napkins from blowing away with a little wooden sign that says it all…happy house!
3. Hang Out on the Front Porch. One of my favorite memories from my college days was hanging out on the porch with my roommates, catching up on the day and talking with neighbors as they passed by. When your friends stop by, serve up some dip & crackers using your Happy platter. Don’t forget some cute napkins like these gold foil “Porch Sitting Society” ones. And nothing says “porch talk” like mint juleps served in preppy acrylic stemless wine glasses.
However you entertain, it sure helps to have pieces on hand that can carry you through each event, and this platter is a great one to start. Happy Spring Y’all!
