I just love any reason to gather my friends and celebrate the holidays! So this year I partnered with Minted to host a White Elephant Gift Exchange & Brunch for my small group. I started by choosing the cutest invitation I have ever seen and let that inspire the entire party. I just love the color combination and all of the cute elephants.
I found a large white elephant with a bowl on top and it made the perfect statement centerpiece to hold my favors for my guests. I used these silver glitter favor boxes and filled them with kettle corn drizzled in dark chocolate & sprinkled with sea salt for a sweet treat to send home with them.
Did you know Minted now has fabric by the yard now? Gorgeous designs available by the yard! I am in heaven. I ordered one yard each of 2 different designs. I used the diamond dots pattern to make napkins for my place settings and the red herringbone pattern to make pillow covers for my ottomans. It is such great quality! The possibilities are limitless on what you can do with these fabrics.
I added a striped party straw with a party flag & a white elephant to each place setting. A personalized placecard with a silver peanut was the perfect nod to the elephant in the room. A fresh sprig of rosemary was all that was needed to finish the perfect place setting.
Personalized signs and wrapping paper are a great way to carry your theme throughout your decor. I also found an additional way to use the wrapping paper I ordered. I cut lengths of the wrapping paper and taped them to my lamp shades! So easy and I just love how it added a pop of color on my table.
One of the girls in my small group is an amazing artist! She painted a custom sign for our party and I just adore it!!!
For our gift exchange, I used personalized gift tags tied with aqua ribbon and added a printable number on the back of each one. The standard rules to play the gift exchange calls for each person to choose a number. Then the gift opening follows the number order. The first person to choose is also the last person to choose. And each person following has the option to open a new gift or steal one that has already been open. We had a few rounds of stolen presents during our exchange. So fun!
