Won’t be long now and we’ll be counting down to 2015! I cannot believe how quickly this year has gone by. It was full of fun, friends and family. And I can’t wait to usher in a new year together!
In planning for our party, I thought I’d share a few ideas I found that are quick and easy to do. So if you are running out of time, no problem! These simple ideas will help you pull off the perfect bash!
Start with classy invitations from Paperless Post. There are so many to choose from and they offer an online version so you can blast out those electronic invites today and see your guests’ responses!
We always enjoy fireworks at midnight and the kids adore sparklers! I just love these free printable sparkler backer cards from Best Day Ever. How cute and easy to make for all your guests?!?
Don’t forget the party hats & noisemakers for the midnight celebration. These cute printable hats are easy to make and I found this New Year’s Bell tutorial from Paging Supermoms. So fun!
What is a party without a photo booth these days? Snapfish has created the cutest free printable props and Happy New Year garland that looks like gold glitter (but it’s just paper!).
And how about a DIY photo backdrop? Two great ideas are a glitter bowtie pasta garland from The Gold Jelly Bean and a star garland backdrop from She’s Kinda Crafty. I just love how easy these are to make and can be done at the last mnute. These little glittered pasta bowties would be cute on straws, or as an addition to the photo booth props.
And what’s more fun than a fortune cookie at midnight? I love how Crumbs of Comfort Cake Design dipped the ends in edible glitter for a little extra sparkle. And for added decor, dip some champagne bottles in gold glitter and set around the house with your party hats & noise makers. Then pop them open at midnight for your champagne toast!
And last but not least, make a few gold glitter paper bows with this tutorial from Mom’s Best Network. Make some larger bows and add to folded cardstock for menu cards or placecards at your dinner table.
However you choose to ring in the New Year, I hope the best is yet to come for each of you! Happy New Year!
