Ever wanted to peek through the looking glass, have a tea party with the Mad Hatter, or run after that silly white rabbit? I just LOVE this Alice in Wonderland inspired party from Paizo Paper. The details are amazing and the hand drawn charcoal signs are the perfect touch of whimsy!
Kamilla shares the details in her own words: “My little girl was begging for an Alice in Wonderland party. So at the request of a 4 year old, we created Kambry in Wonderland.
In the movie, Alice is surrounded by nature with her own twist of imagination. So what better place to have the party than in our own backyard. We did our best to create a magical woodland feel to the party with very simple detail. The sun beams streaming through the trees and the natural colors of nature did most of the work.
This was a complete do-it-yourself party. We built the kids farmhouse tables and benches to meet the heights of all our guests. We also created kid size placemats and napkins, as well as, table runners, party flags, and a photo booth. We made every girl an apron to feel like an “Alice”. My husband is a wonderful artist so he created a few pieces of personalized art for our birthday girl’s room. In keeping with the “Alice” theme, we tried to give everything we did at the party a silly name. As part of the party favors, the kids got to “doodle” on their own wood door hanger for their room. When they finished “doodling” on their door hanger they went to see the “woodburner-er” (aka~my husband!) and he traced their designs with a woodburner pen. The kids also got to take home a wooden tree stump with their names woodburned on top!
During the party we had a few surprise guests appear, real caterpillars!”
